WALDORF, Md. — Residents looking for a creative and meaningful way to celebrate Black History Month can take part in a hands-on HBCU-inspired cookie decorating workshop coming to Waldorf this February.
The workshop will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at The Baker’s Lab at 5-12 Dessert, located at 11850 Park Waldorf Lane, Suite 109.
Designed to celebrate HBCU culture and Black excellence, the interactive experience invites participants to decorate cookies inspired by Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Guests will work with melanin-inspired royal icing colors while learning professional decorating techniques in a welcoming, community-focused setting.
The workshop is led by Chef Tai, who will guide attendees step by step through the decorating process. No prior cookie decorating experience is required, making the event accessible for beginners and seasoned creatives alike.
