This weekend, Baltimore is set to deliver a vibrant mix of entertainment that includes local performance art, as well as nationally recognized music and comedy acts.

Additionally, you can expand your knowledge in areas such as science, historical events, or sexual education.

Here’s a list of exciting events happening this weekend:

Baltimore Crankie Fest, from Thursday, February 5 through Sunday, February 8, at Creative Alliance. This celebration revolves around the captivating world of scrolled panoramas, known as “crankies.” Attendees can enjoy live performances, with virtual tickets also available for those who prefer to participate from home.

Disney on Ice: Frozen & Encanto, from Thursday, February 5 through Sunday, February 8, at CFG Bank Arena. Experience the magic of Disney as beloved characters from the worlds of “Frozen” and “Encanto” take to the ice, sharing tales of family connection and self-discovery.

The Science of Curiosity, Thursday, February 5, at 6 p.m., at Guilford Hall Brewery. Join the Profs & Pints Baltimore lecture series to explore the innate desire for knowledge, led by Todd B. Kashdan, a psychology professor and director of The Well-Being Lab at George Mason University, along with his book “Curious?”. This lecture was previously rescheduled from January 7.

Words, Wings, and Wine, Friday, February 6, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and the show beginning at 8 p.m., at M&T Bank Exchange. Enjoy an evening of spoken word, comedy, and live music featuring acclaimed poets Steven Willis and Ayanna Florence. A live painting will be created during the event and will be raffled off at the conclusion of the show.

Rosé & Roses, Saturday, February 7, in Harbor East. Join in the festivities as Rosé & Roses returns, offering complimentary wine and long-stemmed roses at participating retailers in the Harbor East area.

Mosaic Mirror Workshop, Saturday, February 7, at 10 a.m., at the American Visionary Art Museum. Artist Barbara Svoboda will guide participants in crafting a Valentine-themed pique assiette (broken china) mosaic mirror frame. Materials for creating a 10-inch frame will be provided, but feel free to bring your own china pieces to personalize your creation.

Troubled Tributary: Maryland’s Patuxent River, Saturday, February 7, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology (IMET). Don’t miss a thought-provoking film screening followed by a panel discussion featuring notable figures such as Fred Tutman (Patuxent Riverkeeper), Vernice Miller Travis (Environmental Justice Advocate), and Cari Harris (founder of the Greater Baltimore Climate Summit).

Jeppson’s Birthday Party – A BARCS Fundraiser, Saturday, February 7, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Peabody Heights Brewery. Celebrate the birthday of Jeppi, the brewery’s beloved worker cat, with an event featuring beers, Malort, and various animal-themed vendors. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., participate in pet adoptions while 10% of beverage sales will be donated to BARCS.

Trevor Noah, Saturday, February 7, with doors opening at 7 p.m. and the performance starting at 8 p.m., at Lyric Baltimore. Join the witty comedian, author, and former host of “The Daily Show,” Trevor Noah, for an entertaining evening.

Ashanti, Saturday, February 7, at 8 p.m., at Nevermore Hall. Don’t miss the chance to see Grammy Award-winning artist Ashanti perform in Baltimore.

Sex Ed Pop Up, Saturday, February 7, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Timbre. Experience the leading adult-focused sex education event featuring music, vendors, demonstrations, workshops, and art. This event, created by Baltimore’s own sexual health educator Vanessa Geffrard, encourages all attendees to ask questions in a supportive, open environment and expand their sexual knowledge. Galentine’s Day Flamingle Brunch, Sunday, February 8, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Maryland Zoo. Gather your friends for a delightful afternoon at the zoo themed around the Roaring Twenties. Enjoy a brunch buffet courtesy of Miss Shirley’s Cafe, open bar featuring spiked seltzers, beer, wine, mimosas, as well as performances by drag and burlesque artists, jazz music, a fortune teller, crafts, and a flower bouquet bar.

Ottobar’s Punk Rock Flea Market, Sunday, February 8, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Ottobar. Discover a diverse range of vendors showcasing handmade items, vintage apparel, quirky oddities, punk patches, pins, zines, art, and much more.

History Ablaze: Calamity in Baltimore, Sunday, February 8, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at The Fire Museum of Maryland. Explore the museum, engage with knowledgeable staff, and learn about the devastating 1904 fire that lasted two days and resulted in the destruction of over 1,500 buildings. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
