ARTificial | Closing Reception + Screening

Thursday, March 12 :: 6-8 PM
@ Maryland Art Place

Maryland Art Place (MAP) is thrilled to present ARTificial, an exhibition that critically examines the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in contemporary art. The exhibition invites visitors to consider the various ways artists interact with AI and how it influences artistic creation. While not all exhibited works involve AI directly, they challenge our perceptions of media, technology, and digitization. Featured artists reflect on AI as both a tool and collaborator, engaging with complex themes like ethics, authorship, bias, and posthumanist ideas. This exhibition encourages ongoing contemplation about how algorithmic technologies shape our understanding of aesthetics and cultural significance.

ARTificial will be on display from Thursday, January 22 – March 14, 2026.
