GERMANTOWN, MD – Frank Brantley, a 53-year-old man from Germantown, has been awarded a vacation package for two to Deep Creek Lake, along with $1,000 in spending money, through a Maryland Lottery promotion. Known by his nickname “Franko Banko,” Brantley was one of two lucky winners selected in the My Lottery Rewards Points for Drawings promotion.
Brantley claimed his prize at the Maryland Lottery headquarters last week and is now looking forward to his trip to the scenic Western Maryland destination. The getaway includes accommodations at the Lake Pointe Inn Hotel & Suites, a boutique bed-and-breakfast that offers a tranquil lakeside experience in McHenry.
The prize package not only covers the stay but also provides Brantley with additional funds to enhance his experience. He plans to visit after the winter season, as he prefers outdoor activities and hotel amenities over skiing.
Germantown Resident Wins Weekend Getaway
The Maryland Lottery announced on October 27 that Brantley was one of the two winners of the Deep Creek Weekend Getaway promotion. Alongside him, Mary Waterman from Hagerstown also won a similar prize.
The Lake Pointe Inn Hotel & Suites, where Brantley will be staying, is known for its picturesque views and upscale accommodations. The hotel caters exclusively to adults, making it an ideal retreat for couples.
Brantley’s choice to travel after winter allows him to enjoy Deep Creek Lake outside the busy ski season, focusing on the natural beauty and recreational opportunities the area has to offer.
While the specific dates for his stay have not been announced, the $1,000 spending allowance is intended to enhance his vacation experience, providing him with flexibility for dining and activities.
Maryland Lottery Rewards Program
The My Lottery Rewards program offers players the chance to enter promotional drawings for various prizes beyond standard lottery winnings. Participants can earn rewards points that can be redeemed for travel packages, electronics, gift cards, and more.
Current promotions include an Ultimate Tech Package, which features a selection of electronics, and a Choose Your Getaway option that allows winners to select from trips to Williamsburg, Virginia, or Philadelphia.
Brantley’s win is a reminder of the exciting opportunities available through the Maryland Lottery’s rewards system, providing residents with unique ways to enjoy their state.
