Openings & Announcements

Following a successful pop-up last week, Porto Pizza is excited to announce its permanent Saturday residency at Hello Trouble in Hamilton.

Pepper House has arrived at R. House as a new permanent vendor. To celebrate its grand opening on Saturday evening, guests can enjoy complimentary dan dan noodles along with Chinese music and dance performances.

Giving Back with Oysters

October marks both National Seafood Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In support of these observances, Rusty Scupper will be donating a portion of sales to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for every Pink Lady oyster purchased.

Baltimore Taco Festival

On October 10 and 11, Power Plant Live! will become a haven for taco enthusiasts as it hosts the highly anticipated Baltimore Taco Festival. This ticketed event will feature more than 30 food vendors offering tacos and other delectable treats, margarita bars, a tequila expo area, family-friendly activities, and much more.

Witch-tober at Sally O’s

Sally O’s will kick off a month of witch-themed events starting on Monday, October 12, featuring a craft night. Patrons are invited to join for dinner and drinks while creating a fragrant cinnamon broom.

Heritage at John Brown’s

For fans of the now-closed Heritage Smokehouse, there is good news. On Thursday, the team will be hosting a pop-up at John Brown General & Butchery. While plans for a permanent location at John Brown’s are underway, in the meantime, diners can look forward to their outstanding smoked meats and more during these pop-ups around the area.

Spirit Series at Silver Queen

On Thursday, Silver Queen Café will hold a seasonal installment of its Spirit Series cocktail dinners. The evening will feature a thoughtfully crafted three-course meal with seasonal ingredients, including dishes such as roasted pumpkin salad and roast pork loin paired with habanero mushroom cream sauce, alongside cocktails and samples from Catoctin Creek Distilling.

Nigerian American Festival at Guinness

From October 16 to 18, Guinness will collaborate with The Nigerian Center to host a celebration of Nigerian culture. Given that Nigeria stands as one of the largest consumers of Guinness globally, this partnership not only honors that connection but also showcases the rich food, arts, and entertainment from Nigeria.

OktoBEARfest

The well-loved annual OktoBEARfest at the Maryland Zoo will kick off on the evening of Friday, October 16, and continue throughout the day on Saturday, featuring a variety of seasonal beers and ciders.
