Kick off your weekend with a delicious treat! This Friday, June 5, marks National Donut Day, and numerous chains are celebrating by offering sweet giveaways.

Krispy Kreme is giving away a free doughnut of your choice — no purchase required. Visitors can drop by participating locations and select from popular options such as the classic original glazed, strawberry iced with sprinkles, or chocolate iced filled with kreme. Additionally, Krispy Kreme is offering a dozen original glazed doughnuts for just two dollars when you buy any dozen.

On the other hand, Dunkin’ is offering acomplimentary classic donut with any beverage purchased, while supplies last.

Food and Farm Fridays will be hosted at THEARC in Southeast D.C. from noon to 2 p.m. The organizers will distribute complimentary fresh produce, prepared meals, fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. This weekly event invites community members and is held every Friday.

On Saturday, kids aged 6 to 10 can unleash their creativity at Arts on a Roll at the Creative Suitland Arts Center located in Prince George’s County. Thisfree program takes place from noon until 2 p.m. and is centered around engaging art projects and imaginative learning.

In addition, Kaiser Permanente’s Healthy at the Harbor will take over National Harbor from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. This free event will feature health screenings, fitness classes, yoga, Zumba, line dancing, family activities, live entertainment, and giveaways—while supplies last.

Later that evening, immerse yourself in traditional Korean culture at a complimentary performance at the Forest Green Shopping Center in Ellicott City. This event starts at 7 p.m. and showcases fan dancing, music, and various cultural performances.

On Sunday, make your way to the Howard County Conservancy in Woodstock for Pollinator Fest, which commences at 10 a.m. Families can participate in nature crafts, meet rescue animals, enjoy live music, and engage in activities that highlight local wildlife and pollinators.

Whether you’re stopping for a free donut, gathering fresh produce, or spending quality time outdoors with family, this weekend offers a wealth of enjoyable activities without costing a penny.
