Germantown High Schools Cancel Homecoming Dances Amid Low Ticket Sales

Share

This year, homecoming dances at two high schools in Montgomery County have been canceled due to disappointing ticket sales. Northwest High School reported fewer than 200 tickets sold, while Quince Orchard High School managed to sell only 63 tickets before the deadline.

Officials at Northwest High School expressed regret over the cancellation, acknowledging that it would be disappointing for students who had already purchased tickets and made plans to attend. Students who bought tickets will receive refunds. It’s important to note that while the dances are canceled, other homecoming activities at both schools will still proceed as planned.

In a related note, Thomas S. Wootton High School has not held traditional homecoming dances for several years, opting instead for a carnival event following the homecoming game, as reported by FOX 5.
