A family in Glenmont is facing displacement after a fire erupted in their apartment on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred at the Glenmont Forest Apartments on Glenmont Circle around 6 p.m., according to Pete Piringer, a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.

Firefighters responded to the scene and discovered smoke emanating from a first-floor unit in the three-story garden-style building. Upon further investigation, they located flames in the kitchen area, specifically around the stove.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, the blaze has left one family and their pets without a home.
