Here’s a look at the exciting events happening this weekend:

Modest Mouse, Friday, Oct. 9, at 8 p.m., Pier Six Pavilion. The acclaimed American indie rock band Modest Mouse is set to perform at the iconic Pier Six Pavilion in Baltimore. They recently released their eighth studio album titled “An Eraser and a Maze” in June 2026.

Disco Inferno: A 70’s Celebration, Friday, Oct. 9 through Sunday, Oct. 11, at Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and Music Center at Strathmore. Get ready to groove and celebrate the vibrant 1970s with this exciting event.

Black Celebration, Friday, Oct. 9, at 9 p.m., at Ottobar. Prepare for an electrifying evening as DJs Hell O’Kitty, Jerrod Bronson, and DJ Mills spin a mix of Goth, Industrial, New Wave, Soul/R&B, and more. Guests are encouraged to don red and black attire or devil costumes!

Derrick Stroup, Friday, Oct. 9, doors open at 6 p.m., with the event starting at 7 p.m., at Lyric Baltimore. Alabama-based stand-up comedian Derrick Stroup will be bringing his humor to Baltimore on his Running Hot Tour. His debut Netflix special, “Nostalgic,” premiered globally on March 10.

Top of the Morning, Saturday, Oct. 10, at 9 a.m., at M&T Bank Exchange. Join in for a delightful morning filled with food, drinks, local vendors, and live music featuring Afro Caribbean, R&B, and hip hop styles.

Baltimore Open Studio Tour Weekend, Saturday, Oct. 10, and Sunday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at various locations. Ever curious about how artists create their masterpieces? This is your chance to visit the studios of local artists, observe their creative process, and see works in progress. Check out the map of stops for the 2026 Open Studio Tour. Note that some studios will be open on both days, while others will only welcome visitors on one day.

Edgar Allan Row, Saturday, Oct. 10, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Baltimore Blueway. Kayakers and paddlers are invited to launch from anywhere along the Baltimore Blueway, making their way to Fells Point for a community paddle that promises a spooky journey through Baltimore Harbor. Recital & Evensong for Indigenous Peoples Day, Saturday, Oct. 10, at 4:30 p.m., at St. David’s Church. This special event, sponsored by Music at St. David’s, features a recital by tenor and clarinetist Dylan Aguayo (Taíno) followed by choral music presented by the Choir of St. David’s. This includes works by composers Kirsten Kunkle (Mvskoke), Andrew Balfour (Cree), and Charles Shadle (Choctaw). The event is free, with a suggested donation.

The Second Saturday S#!T Show feat. Ryan Neser, Saturday, Oct. 10, with doors and happy hour at 7 p.m. and the show beginning at 8 p.m., at Ottobar. Join host Mike Quindlen for an entertaining evening featuring comedians Ryan Neser, Chris “O-Dubb” Pierce, Sandy Bernstein, Earl Elliot, and Kreg Paul.

Lewis Black, Saturday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m., at the Hippodrome Theatre. Join Grammy Award-winning comedian, actor, and writer Lewis Black for a live performance. Known for voicing the character “Anger” in the Disney/Pixar film “Inside Out,” Black’s final comedy tour “Goodbye Yeller Brick Road” has come to an end, but he still delights audiences with live shows.
