Family Fights for Justice After Tragic Hit-and-Run Death in Baltimore County

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — A Baltimore County family is desperately seeking justice for their beloved Christopher Teah, who tragically lost his life in a heartbreaking incident.

“If the individual had made even a single call to the police or 911, we might not be in this situation today,” expressed Kelvin Teah, Christopher’s uncle.

The weight of grief is nearly overwhelming for the Teah family after the untimely demise of 20-year-old Christopher Teah, who fell victim to a hit-and-run driver.

Kelvin recounted to WMAR-2 News that the terrible event unfolded last Sunday night.

Authorities informed Kelvin that while Christopher was exiting the bus to head home at the intersection of Security Boulevard and Gwynn Oak Avenue, he was struck by a vehicle.

“When the car hit him, the driver exited the vehicle, glanced at him, and then got back in and sped away,” Kelvin recounted. “The police mentioned that the vehicle involved is a silver-gray sedan.”

As of the time of publication, WMAR-2 News reached out to Baltimore County Police but had not received a response.

Christopher’s cousin, Colliette, shared just how deeply this loss has affected her.

“Describing the pain as profound doesn’t even convey the depth of our hurt,” she said.

Kelvin painted a picture of Christopher as the joyful heart of the family.

“During Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and birthdays, we all come together, and he brings life to the party with his love for music—dancing and making everyone laugh,” he remarked.

Colliette reminisced about one of her fondest memories with him.

“On Christmas Day, we were playing a family game, and his mom was attempting to rap. He was her biggest supporter, cheering her on,” she recalled.

With heavy hearts, the family is now urging the individual responsible to come forward.

“They have taken a son, a brother, a cousin, a nephew, and a friend from us. Knowing that the person who did this has some sense of humanity would bring us a bit of closure,” she added.

To honor Christopher’s life, the family is organizing a vigil at the crash site on Saturday at 3:45 p.m.
