Share

A former Maryland police officer is facing multiple sexual assault allegations, according to investigators. Authorities say the accusations involve several individuals and are now part of an ongoing investigation that could lead to additional charges

Timothy Valentin, a 30-year-old resident of Prince George’s County, faces over a dozen charges. Investigators allege that he drugged women during dates and assaulted them while they were unconscious.

Valentin reportedly connected with these women through dating apps.

The incidents associated with Valentin took place in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties in Maryland, as well as in Alexandria, Virginia.

During a news conference with officials from Alexandria and Prince George’s County, authorities confirmed that Valentin has been in custody in Alexandria since December, following the issuance of an arrest warrant.

The new indictment announced on Monday in Alexandria includes the following charges:

  • Four counts of rape by force
  • Four counts of rape by incapacitation
  • Two counts of adulteration
  • Two counts of sodomy
  • Two counts of abduction with intent to defile
  • One count of aggravated sexual battery by incapacitation
  • Two counts of sodomy by force or incapacitation
  • Fifteen counts of unlawful filming

Before the news briefing, the Takoma Park Police Department disclosed that they were informed by the Alexandria Police Department on February 5 about a case linked to Silver Spring.

The department stated in a release that one of the sexual assault cases related to Valentin occurred last April. According to police, Valentin met a woman at Blue Sunday’s Bar & Grill in Bowie before they went to the Society Restaurant & Lounge in Silver Spring.

Authorities claim that Valentin then took the woman to the 7600 block of Hammond Avenue in Takoma Park, where the assault occurred later that night. The victim is currently in contact with investigators.

Officials suspect that Valentin, who is known to have used various aliases, may be involved in additional cases.

Currently, at least six incidents have been reported in Prince George’s County, along with another four in Alexandria.

Valentin served with the D.C. Police from 2017 to 2022, but officials have not disclosed the reasons for his departure.

According to Police Chief Tarrick McGuire, the Alexandria Police Department was first alerted about Valentin in the spring of 2025. The initial case was reported to D.C. Police before being formally transferred to the Alexandria bureau in August.

The Takoma Park Police Department is collaborating with the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office on this matter.
