Baltimore artist Sean Dackermann describes his artistic endeavors as a heartfelt tribute to the city. The community is invited to explore two decades of his creative expressions at Atrium Artspace through the exhibition titled “Beyond The Shadow Of Doubt.”

This 20-year retrospective will be on display from August 8 to September 26 at the Station North gallery. Throughout the exhibition period, a variety of events are planned to engage the public. “Beyond The Shadow Of Doubt” features a blend of documentary, street, and editorial photography, including works from Dackermann’s inaugural book, serving as part of the upcoming series titled “A Moment’s Notice.”

Dackermann’s diverse portfolio shines a light on Baltimore and lesser-known corners of the mid-Atlantic region, capturing the beauty often overlooked. While he predominantly utilizes photography in his work, he occasionally explores mixed-media, 3D art, and industrial design.

According to Dackermann’s website, his creative journey commenced during his high school years, inspired by the magazines he admired. The art of photography left a lasting impression on him, influencing both his emotional response and his artistic process.

The website recounts, “After sharing a family camera (Pentax K1000, of course), he was offered a Nikon N6006 in exchange for his help in building a shed. The shed was constructed, and thus began Sean’s foundation in photography.”

Visitors to the exhibition “Beyond The Shadow Of Doubt” can expect a dynamic experience, as the showcased works will evolve throughout the display period. This means that those who return may encounter a fresh perspective each time they visit.
