Top Spots in Baltimore to Catch the U.S. vs. Belgium World Cup Showdown!

Share

On Monday night, the U.S. men’s soccer team is set to compete against Belgium at Seattle’s Lumen Field during a highly anticipated Round of 16 match in the Fifa Men’s World Cup. Local bars and restaurants in the Baltimore area are excited to join in on the celebrations.

This matchup follows the recent decision by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee, which overturned the one-game suspension of U.S. player Folarin Balogun. Balogun had faced suspension due to a red card received during the team’s match against Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he inadvertently stepped on defender Tarik Muharemović’s ankle. The reinstatement of Balogun allows him to participate in the crucial game against Belgium.

This remarkable tournament marks the first time since 1994 that the United States is co-hosting the FIFA Men’s World Cup, alongside Mexico and Canada.

While Baltimore is not among the 11 U.S. cities selected to host World Cup matches this summer, local fans are making the most of the experience with viewing parties throughout the region.

The excitement will continue with watch parties on Monday for the U.S.-Belgium game at various locations across Baltimore.
