The 15th Annual Southern Maryland Hiring Event is set to return on May 21, 2026, and promises to be bigger than ever. Presented by the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland (TCCSMD) in partnership with the College of Southern Maryland and the Rural Maryland Council, this significant event will occur at the College of Southern Maryland’s La Plata Campus from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Over 65 businesses looking to hire and 20 community resource organizations will be present, offering jobseekers access to a diverse array of sectors, such as healthcare, public safety, skilled trades, education, government services, and technology. Historically, this event has drawn between 800 and 1,200 jobseekers, and with over 600 registered already just two weeks in, organizers are gearing up for one of the most substantial turnouts in its impressive 15-year history.
