Fans of “Survivor” can look forward to an exciting night this Wednesday as the beloved reality competition series debuts its 50th season with a thrilling three-hour premiere.
Bars and restaurants across Baltimore are eagerly taking part in the festivities, hosting watch parties where patrons can come together to celebrate this monumental season among fellow fans.
The new season will kick off at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on CBS and Paramount+. However, many local events will begin well before that time.
Power Plant Live!
A standout event of the evening will take place at Luckie’s Tavern located at Power Plant Live!, featuring former “Survivor” participants Ozzy Lusth and Gabe Ortis. The party, which starts at 6 p.m. and continues until midnight, will unfold at 34 Market Place in downtown Baltimore.

While the Early Bird, Regular General Admission, and VIP tickets are already sold out, fans can still grab last-minute general admission tickets.
Ozzy Lusth made his mark on reality television through multiple “Survivor” seasons, starting with “Survivor: Cook Islands.” He later returned for “Survivor: Micronesia – Fans vs. Favorites,” “Survivor: South Pacific,” and “Survivor: Game Changers — Mamanuca Islands.” As part of the cast in “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans,” he is known as a “challenge beast,” having won five individual immunity challenges in a single season, tying for the most in the show’s history, and accumulating a total of 16 immunity wins across his appearances.
Gabe Ortis, a public radio host from Baltimore on WYPR, participated in the show’s 47th season, earning the affection of both tribemates and viewers. He’s known for celebrating challenge wins by mimicking former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis’s touchdown dance.
Even though Ortis will not be competing in “Survivor 50,” his fellow contestant from Season 47, Genevieve Mushaluk, is set to return for this milestone season.
This exciting event is made possible by “Survivor” alumni Brice Izyah, who appeared on “Survivor: Cagayan,” and Wendell Holland, who won “Survivor: Ghost Island” and also came back for the 40th season, “Survivor: Winners at War.”
Southern Provisions
Southern Provisions, affectionately known as So Pro, will also be hosting a watch party beginning at 8 p.m. Located at 3000 O’Donnell St. in Canton, this restaurant, which serves delicious Southern cuisine, will feature a themed drink for the “Survivor” premiere.
Those interested can reserve a spot free of charge here.
M8 Beer
M8 Beer, known as the South Baltimore brewery with an Aussie flair, invites guests to a watch party. Patrons will experience the premiere on an impressive 80-inch projector screen with full sound.
Expect a lively atmosphere with “Survivor”-themed cocktails, interactive contests, exciting games, giveaways, hidden idols, and much more.
Watch parties will continue every Wednesday at 8 p.m. throughout the “Survivor” season starting February 25. The brewery is situated at 1399 Sharp St. in Baltimore.
Hollywood Casino Perryville
For those willing to travel a bit farther, Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County will host a watch party featuring the premiere on big screens.
Located at 1201 Chesapeake Overlook Parkway in Perryville, entry to the casino is restricted to guests aged 21 and older. To set the tone for the event, the casino will offer a menu of coconut shrimp, huli-huli chicken, a Polynesian pulled pork sandwich, and tropical drinks like the Castaway Cooler and Tiki Tickler.
Attendees can also indulge in crab dip, catfish, BBQ burgers, flatbreads, wings, craft beers, cocktails, wine, and hard seltzers. Guests will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for “Survivor” merchandise, dining credits, or gift cards.
Jimmy’s Famous Seafood
While Jimmy’s Famous Seafood will not be hosting a watch party for the premiere of “Survivor 50,” they do have plans for a special event in April that fans won’t want to miss.
On April 8, this popular Southeast Baltimore restaurant will hold a viewing party featuring “Survivor” alumni Jonny Fairplay, Richard Hatch, and Gabe Ortis.
Richard Hatch, known as the first Sole Survivor, won the inaugural season, “Survivor: Borneo,” back in 2000. He became notorious for his bold tactical strategies and even for being nude around the camp, which amused some contestants while exasperating others. Hatch returned for “Survivor: All-Stars” in Season 8.
Jon Dalton, famously known as Jonny Fairplay, first appeared in the show’s seventh season, “Survivor: Pearl Islands.” He’s remembered for his dramatic lie about his grandmother’s death, a ruse he used to gain sympathy and a strategic edge in the competition. (In reality, Grandma Fairplay was alive and well, watching the antics unfold on television until she passed away in 2025.)
Fairplay made a comeback in “Survivor: Micronesia,” gaining notoriety as a villain, which even drew criticism from host Jeff Probst.
The event at Jimmy’s Famous Seafood is expected to draw more personalities, including Tai Lowry from Destination X and several others. The $75 VIP tickets provide meet-and-greet opportunities, preferred seating, and a signed poster featuring Richard Hatch and Jonny Fairplay. General admission is priced at $25.
A Maryland Connection
Maryland residents tuning in to “Survivor 50” may want to cheer for contestant Emily Flippen. Originally from McKinney, Texas, this investment analyst now calls Laurel, Maryland home.

Emily made her debut on Season 45, where she narrowly escaped being the first contestant voted off after a tribe member quit the game. Following this twist, Emily adapted her strategy, building crucial alliances, and ultimately secured a 7th place finish.
Unluckily, an immunity idol played effectively by a rival eliminated her by just one vote.
Recently, Emily participated at Baltimore’s Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower, the location of Maryland’s hidden immunity idol for the “Survivor 50 Challenge.” As part of this nationwide challenge, 50 immunity idols are hidden throughout the U.S., one in each state. Fans who discover one and submit a photo will have the chance to win a trip for two to the live “Survivor 50” season finale in Los Angeles on May 20.
