Anne Arundel County Man Confesses to Threatening Marjorie Taylor Greene: Shocking Report

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Seth Jason, a 64-year-old resident of Edgewater, Maryland, has admitted guilt in a case involving multiple threats against former Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, as reported by the Capital Gazette.

Jason, who previously served as a reserve police officer with the Anne Arundel County Police Department, was indicted in July. His sentencing is set for June 18.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office revealed that Jason made eight threatening calls to Greene’s offices between October 2023 and January 2025. These threats extended not only to Greene but also to her family and staff members, as well as their families.

He pleaded guilty to one count of making interstate threats to kidnap or harm and one count of anonymous telecommunications harassment, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

The indictment detailed that from October 11, 2023, to January 21, 2025, Jason placed threatening calls to Greene’s district offices in Dalton and Rome. These calls were traced back to various phone lines associated with studios and control rooms at Voice of America headquarters in Washington, D.C., where Jason had previously worked, as stated by U.S. Capitol Police.

The nature of the threats intensified over time, culminating in two particularly alarming messages around the time of the presidential inauguration in January. On January 8, 2025, just 12 days prior to the inauguration, Jason left a voicemail for Greene’s office ominously stating she would not “see the inaugural.”

On January 21, 2025, he left another threatening voicemail, declaring that Greene and her staff “were as good as dead,” urging them to “make your last will ready, because we are coming after you, and the only thing you’re going to hear is bang…I’m yearning to hear you cry for your last breath.”

In July, a representative from the Anne Arundel Police Department confirmed to Patch that Jason was no longer affiliated with the agency due to the allegations against him.
