At the close of February, the Maryland Home & Garden Show will host two well-known reality TV stars at the Maryland State Fairgrounds, helping attendees gear up for the upcoming warmer months and springtime activities.
The Maryland Home & Garden Show will take place over two consecutive weekends at the Fairgrounds: from Saturday to Sunday, February 28 to March 1, and then again from Friday to Sunday, March 6 to 8, 2026. Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 8, as it coincides with Daylight Savings Time—be sure to “spring forward” your clocks!
During the first weekend, Matt Bashaw, a familiar face from HGTV’s “Yard Crashers,” will present valuable insights on preparing for spring in his talk titled “Live, Love, Landscape: Creating the Perfect Outdoor Space for You and Your Family.” Bashaw, known for his ability to transform outdoor spaces in just 48 hours, will be available on both days to share his expertise.
The following weekend will feature Craig Conover, a star from Bravo’s “Southern Charm,” who will take the stage on Friday and Saturday. A beloved character on the show, Conover has turned his initial passion for sewing, which was often a point of gentle teasing, into a successful brand called “Sewing Down South,” which specializes in home decor, lifestyle, and apparel products, boasting a flagship store located in South Carolina.
The allure of celebrity appearances is just one of the highlights attracting visitors eager to revamp their homes after a long, harsh winter. The Cow Palace will showcase seven impressive landscaped areas, complete with water features, grilling stations, sports zones, and seasonal plant arrangements designed to ignite creativity. Additionally, over 400 exhibitors will present the newest home and garden products, offering tips and advice for cost-effective home improvements, with most of the exhibitors being local or family-owned businesses.
When the TV stars aren’t captivating audiences on the Main Stage, the platform will host local experts sharing their knowledge through various home improvement seminars and hands-on workshops.

The inaugural weekend will also feature a delightful petting zoo filled with live farm animals, sure to be a hit with both children and adults alike. On the second weekend, the Maryland Orchid Society will host its annual Show and Sale, showcasing hundreds of exotic plants available for both viewing and purchase. Each weekend will also have a Makers Market, featuring numerous local artisans selling their handmade crafts.
A variety of ticket discounts will be available, including those for military personnel, firefighters, police officers, first responders, trade professionals, and more. Additionally, attendees who bring food donations for the Maryland Food Bank can also receive a discount. You can find a full list of discount offerings on the show’s official website.
