A significant $520 million enhancement project at Baltimore-Washington International Airport officially opened to travelers and airlines on January 8. This monumental undertaking is the largest in the airport’s history, featuring 14,000 square feet of open market space for new food and retail concessions, along with an additional 28,000 square feet of flexible space for future concessions.

The 2026 Winter Restaurant Week, organized by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, includes restaurants from Silver Spring and Bethesda. The Phoenix Theatres announced on its website that the Columbia Snowden 14 + ScreenX movie theater has permanently closed as of January 5, just eight months after its reopening.
