Ed Reed, Ravens Hall of Famer, Claps Back at White House Social Media Post!

Share

On Friday, the official White House account on X shared a captivating video montage that juxtaposed drone strike imagery with various NFL highlights, all set to the iconic song “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC.

The video alternated between clips labeled “UNCLASSIFIED” and scenes of football players making impressive tackles, with a caption proclaiming “Touchdown.”

Among the featured highlights, two Hall of Famers from the Ravens stood out.

The montage showcased a bone-crushing hit by Ray Lewis followed by footage of Ed Reed. By Sunday evening, this emotional video—created to resonate with viewers regarding the ongoing conflict in Iran—had garnered an astounding 10 million views.

This prompted a reaction from Reed, who quote-tweeted reporter Ben Jacobs, expressing his disapproval of the content. “I do not approve this message,” he stated, clearly distancing himself from the clip.

Meanwhile, Lewis has remained silent on the matter.

Earlier that same day, the White House released a comparable video featuring baseball action, showcasing a series of home runs predominantly by Barry Bonds and Alex Rodriguez, but notably absent were any players from the Orioles, either past or present. Accompanied by the caption “Pure American dominance,” the video sought to evoke national pride.
