Montgomery College is set to kick off its first season of MC Live Arts, a new performing arts initiative designed to showcase both national and international talent across its campuses in Rockville, Takoma Park/Silver Spring, and Germantown. The series will officially launch on September 26 with a performance by the Grammy-nominated vocal group Sweet Honey in the Rock at the Robert E. Parilla Performing Arts Center in Rockville.
This fall, audiences can look forward to several notable performances, including the Blind Boys of Alabama, who will pay tribute to Stevie Wonder’s iconic album “Songs in the Key of Life” on October 17 in Silver Spring. Music and pop culture icon Charo will take the stage on October 30, also in Silver Spring.
Additionally, Grammy-nominated artist and “American Idol” winner Ruben Studdard is scheduled to perform on November 14 in Rockville. The lineup for the season promises a diverse array of entertainment, featuring dance, theater, comedy, family-friendly events, and more musical performances extending through spring 2027.
