Honoring Fathers on Father’s Day

This Sunday, June 21, marks Father’s Day. While not as widely celebrated with brunch as Mother’s Day, this day still offers an exciting range of restaurant specials and events dedicated to fathers.

In addition to the jazz brunch at BLK Swan, fathers can indulge at The Manor Tavern, which will offer a special menu throughout the weekend and prime rib dinner specials for dads on Sunday.

Johnny’s is presenting two Wagyu specials to honor fathers on their special day.

At Sotto Sopra, dads will receive a complimentary entrée this Father’s Day.

Gunther & Co. is offering a special prix-fixe brunch along with dinner specials for fathers on this occasion.

Limoncello’s is featuring Father’s Day specials that include a delectable surf and turf of filet and a crab imperial-stuffed lobster tail.

At Cece’s, enjoy surf and turf with a dry-aged ribeye and lobster tail, along with a special New Fashioned cocktail for fathers.

Throughout the weekend, Love, Pomelo will feature a grilled New York strip served with a delightful salsa verde and charred lemon.

Meanwhile, at The Duchess, enjoy half-priced pints along with an exciting schedule of World Cup soccer matches on Father’s Day.

Ethel’s Creole Kitchen is honoring fathers with a 16-ounce center cut dino-bone steak.

Summer Sip & Supper at Charleston

Sail250 Events

As part of the Baltimore region’s festivities for the 250th anniversary of the United States, Sail250 Maryland & Airshow Baltimore will be hosting a variety of exciting events from tall ship displays to performances by the Blue Angels, beginning on June 24.

Sail250 will also present numerous opportunities for food and drink throughout the celebrations.

On Tuesday, June 23, Chef Spike Gjerde collaborates with the James Beard Foundation for a multi-course dinner benefiting the Living Classrooms Foundation at Frederick Douglass Isaac Myers Maritime Park, followed by an afterparty at La Jetée in Harbor Point. Chef Gjerde will team up with chefs from Ekiben, Clavel, The Urban Oyster, Burnt Hill Farm, and The Duchess.

On Friday, the waterfront will buzz with excitement featuring events like a crab soup cook-off at the Inner Harbor’s Seafood for Thought Stage. This cook-off, starting at noon and hosted by Nancy by SNAC chef Kevin Brown, will be judged by the public alongside a panel of local food experts — including yours truly. Please feel free to stop by and say hello!

Saturday will feature the Fells Point Farmer’s Market in Broadway Square, central to the festivities that will continue through Wednesday, July 1, when the last tall ships will depart.

Local establishments will also have special drinks and menu offerings. At the Lord Baltimore Hotel, a unique nautical cocktail menu will feature items like Red Wine Sailor’s Sangria, with active and retired military, veterans, and government employees receiving a 10% discount on food and beverage bills upon presentation of valid credentials.

Bourdain Day at Sally O’s
