EDGEWATER, MD — On January 23, 2026, Anne Arundel County Police detained 28-year-old Bryan Alberto Cazares from Beltsville, Maryland, in connection with the murder of 29-year-old Wilson Estuardo Marroquin Caceros. This tragic incident transpired on August 17, 2025, at a home located in the 1600 block of Fullerton Road, Edgewater, Anne Arundel County. The following day, the body of the victim was discovered in Baltimore.
On August 18, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers from the Baltimore Police were alerted to a wooded area in south Baltimore, where they found Marroquin Caceros with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. Sadly, medics pronounced him dead at the scene. An autopsy later confirmed that the manner of his death was homicide.
Following the investigation, the Baltimore Police Homicide Unit identified Cazares, who was familiar with the victim, as a suspect through various investigative techniques. Detectives were able to connect the case to the Fullerton Road address after confirming that both the victim and suspect were present at that location on the night of August 17. With assistance from the Anne Arundel County Police Homicide Unit, a search and seizure warrant was executed at the site, further establishing that the murder occurred there.
After discussions with the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney, it was decided that the Anne Arundel County Police would proceed with filing charges, leading to prosecution in the Anne Arundel County courts. An arrest warrant was issued on January 23, charging Cazares with first-degree and second-degree murder along with other offenses, such as assault, tampering with physical evidence, and firearms-related violations. Detectives successfully apprehended him in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, without incident.
