Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) are looking into a tragic pedestrian accident that took place in Gaithersburg on the morning of September 17.
Emergency responders, including MCPD officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS), arrived at the intersection of Route 355 and Christopher Avenue around 3:41 a.m. They found 34-year-old Jow Dodou from Germantown injured after being struck while crossing Route 355.
Dodou was rushed to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a brown 2020 Infiniti QX60 traveling southbound, remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
