Residents and visitors of Baltimore County can look forward to a new destination for satisfying their cheesesteak cravings.

Cheesesteak & Co. is set to open its first location in Baltimore County this summer, situated at Red Run Station in Owings Mills.

Phil Gharfeh, who is both the founder and owner of Cheesesteak & Co., has signed a lease with Hill Management Services, Inc. for a spacious 1,700-square-foot area within the shopping center.

The popular eatery first opened its doors in 2024 in Elkridge, Howard County. However, the team had always envisioned establishing a presence in Owings Mills.

Gharfeh expressed his enthusiasm about the new site, saying, “Our original intentions were to open our first location in Owings Mills and, after operating a highly-popular restaurant in Howard County for several years, decided now was the opportune time to scale our operations and come back [to] our roots.”

Patrons can expect to enjoy “authentic shaved ribeye steak” on the classic cheesesteaks, as well as a diverse menu that includes homemade egg rolls, a vegan cheesesteak using Impossible meat, and a unique buffalo chicken and ribeye cheesesteak, among other items, according to a recent news release.

Danielle Beyrodt, the vice president and chief operating officer of Hill Management Services, emphasized the restaurant’s strong reputation, highlighting its dedicated fan base throughout the region.

“Cheesesteak & Co. has generated a cult-like following in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor, and it is not unusual to see long lines of consumers waiting for a truly unique eating experience,” stated Beyrodt. “We consider it a major coup to attract this highly-differentiated brand to Red Run Station, and this win continues the string of successes we have achieved at this strategically located shopping venue.”

Gharfeh is optimistic that the new establishment at Red Run Station will attract a wide range of customers from both Owings Mills and beyond.

“This area of Baltimore County features a cross-section of homes and different industries, and we believe we will attract families and businesspeople looking for high-quality and quickly-prepared lunch and dinner items,” he remarked. “Red Run Station features excellent highway visibility and several tenants that draw strong consumer traffic. The center has an impressive following in the local community.”

Additionally, a YourSpace Storage facility with 847 storage units located behind the shopping center enhances traffic flow to Red Run Station’s retailers.

The 10,500-square-foot retail center at 11054 Red Run Blvd. is currently home to various businesses, including Bubbakoo’s Burritos, Looks Nail Spa, Baltimore Smiles, and Dunkin’.

In exciting news, Grain & Berry, a superfood café, has also recently announced its plans to debut its first location in Baltimore County at the same shopping center.

Hill Management Services is actively marketing a pad site at the front of Red Run Station on Red Run Boulevard, which could potentially accommodate childcare facilities, medical services, and other personal or professional service providers, according to Beyrodt.
