Two Residents Displaced After Germantown House Fire, Officials Report

Two residents were displaced following a house fire in the Aspen Hill neighborhood of Montgomery County on Saturday morning. The incident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. in the 13500 block of Grenoble Drive, according to David Pazos, a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.

Firefighters arrived to find flames shooting from a second-floor window of the single-family home. Fortunately, both residents managed to escape without injury.

More than 55 firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze. While the investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, officials have indicated that it started in the kitchen area.

The American Red Cross is currently providing assistance to the displaced residents.
