Event Overview

The Southern Maryland Bluegrass Concert Series is thrilled to present a performance by High Fidelity, a band dedicated to celebrating the timeless music of the 1950s and 60s. Taking place in California, MD, on December 7, 2025, this highly anticipated event marks the third concert of the series for the season. Mark your calendars for Sunday, January 4, 2026, as High Fidelity brings their unique sound to the Calvert Elks in Prince Frederick, located at 1015 Dares Beach Road, with the show set to commence at 2:00 PM.

High Fidelity pays tribute to the classic Bluegrass Era of the 50s and 60s, gaining recognition for their ability to evoke the spirit and energy that defined the genre. Their commitment to honoring this iconic period in Bluegrass music distinguishes them from many contemporary bands. The name “High Fidelity” reflects the vintage albums from that era, many of which featured this term prominently.

The band consists of five exceptionally talented musicians dedicated to preserving the authenticity of traditional Bluegrass music. Jeremy Stephens, the lead vocalist and guitarist who also excels at playing the banjo, has a rich background with notable groups such as The Chuck Wagon Gang and has made appearances on Ray Stevens’ Nashville television show, as well as collaborating with Jesse McReynolds & the Virginia Boys. Corrina Rose Logston is the fiddler and harmony vocalist, known for her partnerships with modern traditional Bluegrass artists, including the renowned songwriter Jim Lauderdale.

Kurt Stephenson contributes to the unique sound with his banjo and harmony vocals, coming from the rich musical landscape of west Tennessee. Daniel Amick, a versatile multi-instrumentalist, enhances the band’s performance as he skillfully plays both guitar and mandolin. He has also been recognized with the IBMA’s 2019 Instrumentalist of the Year Momentum Award.

For fans who cherish ‘authentic’ Bluegrass music, High Fidelity offers a genuinely enriching experience that evokes the sounds of first-generation legends like Don Reno & Red Smiley, The Stanley Brothers, The Louvin Brothers, and Jim & Jesse. Drawing inspiration from these musical pioneers, High Fidelity produces a crisp and clear sound that has even drawn comparisons to the new Johnson Mountain Boys.

Following a well-received performance at this venue, the band is returning due to popular demand. As the series enters its fourth year as Southern Maryland’s leading Bluegrass venue, it promises to continue bringing top-notch artists to the stage. Future performances include The Kody Norris Show on February 1, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys on February 15, The Country Gentlemen Show featuring Calvert County’s own Mike Phipps on March 22, and rounding off the season with Special Consensus on April 19.

Tickets for each concert are available for $23.00 per person, which can be purchased at the door or in advance. To learn more about the series, visit www.somdbluegrass.com or call 301-737-3004.
