Attention all beer enthusiasts! Max’s Taphouse is excited to announce the 22nd Annual Belgian Beer Festival, taking place from Friday, February 13 to Monday, February 16 in the vibrant Fells Point area.

This celebrated festival kicks off daily at 11 a.m. at Max’s Taphouse, featuring an impressive selection of over 100 Belgian beers on draft. Attendees will also enjoy a curated assortment of specialty Belgian bottles, many of which are rarely found in the U.S. To complement the beverages, there will be a Belgian-inspired food menu, including the fan-favorite Belgian Frites.

This year marks a significant milestone for Max’s Taphouse as they celebrate 40 years as a cherished family-owned institution in Baltimore. The festival not only spotlights traditional Belgian brewing but also emphasizes the local collaborations it inspires.

On Friday morning, a representative from the Belgian Embassy will be present for the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, officially marking the beginning of the festival.

Entry to the festival is free, but please note that attendees must be 21 years or older. Although early admission tickets for Friday and Saturday are available for $25, guaranteeing seating at the main bar and early access to exclusive beer selections, the Friday tickets have already sold out. A limited number of Saturday early admission tickets are still up for grabs. For more details or to purchase tickets, click here.

Max’s Taphouse has joined forces with The William Fell Inn to provide special hotel rates during the festival. You can find booking details on the event listing available on Max’s Taphouse’s event Facebook page.

For those eager to kick off the festivities early, Max’s Taphouse will unveil Thirst Trapp Thursday on February 12 at 5 p.m., marking the festival’s soft launch. This special event features an exclusive all-Maryland Belgian-style beer takeover, in collaboration with the Brewers Association of Maryland.

Thirst Trapp Thursday will showcase 15 Belgian-inspired brews crafted by local Maryland breweries, available throughout the festival while supplies last. Beer styles will include saisons, blondes, dubbels, tripels, and quadrupels. A full draft list can be found on the Facebook event page.

Additionally, that evening will feature the release of a unique brew, the Belgian Belle, a blonde ale created in partnership with Brewer’s Haven, which combines the talents of Monument City Brewing and Key Brewing, along with Bear Branch Malt.

Max’s Taphouse is conveniently located at 737 S. Broadway, Baltimore, MD.
