Germantown, MD — Fresh Baguette, a modern French bakery café known for its handcrafted breads and pastries, is opening its newest location in Germantown on Wednesday, January 28, marking the company’s ninth bakery café in the DMV region. See original article here.
The celebration continues on Friday, January 30, as Fresh Baguette marks National Croissant Day across all of its bakery cafés, including the new Germantown location.
Croissants are at the heart of Fresh Baguette’s craft. Each one is made over 48 hours, following 11 precise steps and folded with 12 layers of butter, resulting in the flaky, buttery pastry the brand is known for.
National Croissant Day highlights include:
- Giant croissants, available by pre-order online for pickup on January 31 — nearly ten times the size of a classic croissant
- Spin-the-Wheel prize giveaways in-store throughout the day
- Instagram giveaways offering a chance to win free croissants for a year
A Growing Bakery with Local Roots
Founded in 2013 by a French team passionate about bringing traditional baking techniques to the U.S., Fresh Baguette has grown from a single neighborhood bakery in Bethesda into a beloved regional brand with locations across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
Despite its growth, the company remains deeply connected to the communities it serves, employing local teams, partnering with charities, and focusing on artisan baking methods.
“This opening is about more than adding a café — it’s about celebrating our people, our craft, and the communities we serve,” said Florent de Felcourt, Founder and CEO of Fresh Baguette. “We’re excited to welcome Germantown and celebrate together during National Croissant Day.”
